OVER VIEW This is the web site for the ‘Brunnel Way’ project, to make use of the dis-used Brixham Railway as an eco-route. The project is called the Brunnel way, because the line was part of the GWR broad gauge line. But in main because of the Brunnel way of thinking. We have two road islands in Torquay, Brixham and Churston. There is no backbone that joins them up, except by limited car access. This problem was resolved a generation before, the Brixham Railway line. Plan 1) Protection of heritage 2) Giving purpose to heritage 3) Community Project 4) Alternative use of agricultural land. 5) Funding for park, bike and walk. 6) Revenue generated to support the Heritage Centre.
Make it happen 1) We need expertise in heritage listing. 2) We need volunteers for the clearing process. 3) We need people to vote for the project.
